The American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons established the W. Harry Archer Award to recognize the achievements of outstanding oral and maxillofacial surgeons and to recognize the major contributions to the specialty by Dr. Archer.
Dr. Archer was a prolific writer, gifted and respected teacher, and a trailblazer in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
