The ACOMS Oral Exam Simulation Course is your opportunity to experience an oral exam with real-time feedback and to help assess the participant's knowledge and judgment in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Each exam experience will be comprised of three 75-minute sections. Each section will consist of an approximately 50-minute exam and an approximately 25-minute debrief, which will provide the participant with individual feedback from the faculty.
Topics covered include anesthesia, medicine, emergency management, trauma, orthognathic surgery, pathology, reconstruction, infection, dentoalveolar surgery, implants, temporomandibular joint disease, and more. This activity has been approved for 3.75 hours of Continuing Dental Education (CDE) credit.
There will be two sessions held, one at 8:00 a.m. ET and one at 2:30 p.m. ET.

Due to the one-on-one nature of this program, only 16 spots are available. A waiting list will be available when the course fills up. We encourage you to join the waiting list, as we hope to offer an encore at a later date if demand is high.
Learning Objectives
- Summarize strengths and weakness in the diagnosis, management, and post-operative care.
- Identify strengths and weaknesses in recognition and management of surgical complications.
- Demonstrate sound communication skills, including concise and organized thoughts, clear diction and cadence.
